Merry Christmas!!!

Dear Family, Friends & Supporters,

I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
What an amazing & adventurous year 2011 has been, from Africa to Honduras to now starting Red Thread Ministries. This year God has opened my eyes even more to the needs of His children throughout the world; from those enslaved in human trafficking to those living in poverty. God has shown me He has so much more for me to do, so through the past couple months God has led me to partner with Ronnie & Sherrie May to begin Red Thread Ministries to rescue and help those in need. No one ministry can ever touch the needs of all those hurting in our world. Red Thread Ministries wants to offer a hand up. Our desire is to help those who cannot help themselves for the sake of the children. By helping the parent or caregiver with basic needs, we are helping to care for the needs of the children in that family.
We are launching Red Thread Ministries with a Christmas Outreach called "Christmas Wrap-Up". Join us this Christmas Season as we reach out to some of those in need in the Baton Rouge area. A gift of $50 will provide a family of four with Christmas dinner, a gift for each child and a book about the true meaning of Christmas, or if you prefer to purchase these items yourself we will make sure they are delivered to one of these precious families. This is the perfect gift for your mission minded family and friends, your children's teachers, coaches, your co-workers and anyone else on your Christmas list. With your generous response you will receive a Christmas card for you to present to your honoree reflecting the contribution you have made to a needy home in their name. As you wrap up your Christmas season, thank you for wrapping up a Christmas someone will never forget.
For more information or to follow along with Red Thread Ministries outreaches & events visit www.redthreadministries.blogspot.com or if you are on Facebook "like" our page Red Thread Ministries. If you feel led to partner with us for the Christmas Wrap-Up or as a monthly supporter you can give online or make checks payable to Red Thread Ministries and mail to 17870 Lake Azalea Dr. B.R. LA 70817

I Pray you and your family have a blessed holiday season!
Love,
Becky

I'M BACK!!!!

What an amazing 6 months I just finished in Mozambique, Africa. It was a great honor to serve our HPC campus there and such a huge growing experience for me spiritually as well.

The campus has now started another service on Sunday nights causing attendance to soar. First ever nursery for 0-18 months was started and 2 new employees were added that I had the privilege to train. They will assist Pastor Isaac Williams and free him up to do more hands on with the people of the community that is ever growing.

I've had alot of "what's next Becky?" questions since my return. There are several mission opportunities in the future I am praying about, I am now in a time of transition as I seek the Lord for what the next step He has for me to take. I ask that you would please join with me in prayer as I seek the Lords will for this next season of my life. I can't say thank you enough for this opportunity.

All for His Glory!
Becky

First Month

One of the things we worked on this month was repainting the Children's Church Veranda.......It looks all clean & fresh now!!!!!

I have already been here a month! I had visitors here for most of the month which helped majorly in me adjusting to life here. It was a little tough at first! I am excitied about what lays ahead for the next five months. We are starting a nursery at the church for during services this is going to be huge for the church and I'm so excited about being a part of it! The Children's Church is out growing it's space, we had over 450 kids this past Sunday. In the near future we want to be able to have classrooms so we can divide up by ages. Right now we have 1 year olds to 11 year olds all together. Today is a national holiday here it is "Women's Day" so tonight we are having a Chick Night. I'm excited about all the women who are going to show up tonight and their lives are going to be changed!!!

Praying for a Miracle

I ask that you will join with me in prayer for healing for my mom. The past 4 weeks has been crazy for my family. My mom went in for a stress test, within 3 days they were doing a heart cath that showed her heart is only operating at 20%. She has what is called Dilated Cardio Myopothy. She was put on several medications and told that if the medications did not improve her heart function in 6 months they would consider putting in a pacemaker/defibulator. A week after the heart cath she went in for a checkup and they decided the pacemaker/defibulator needed to be put in immediately. 5 days later she went in to have the heart cath put in. During the procedure her heart was punctured and she went into cardiac arrest, during CPR her heart was punctured again. She was then rushed to emergency surgery to repair the 2 holes now in her already extremely weak heart. She is now recovering from open heart surgery and once recovered they want to try putting in the pacemaker/defibulator again. I am praying and believing God will heal her heart and she will not have to have the surgery. I ask that you will join with me in praying and believing God for a miracle!!!!!
